Welcome to Breezi, an AI-driven mental health app designed to provide personalised support through AI-powered insights. Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Talk to Breezi LTD ("Breezi", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our app and services.

By using Breezi, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please stop using Breezi immediately.

1. Who Can Use Breezi

Breezi is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, you must not use Breezi or submit any personal data.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Data

When you create an account and use Breezi, we may collect the following personal information:

• Name
• Email address
• Encrypted password
• Personal reflections, journaling entries, and therapy chat logs
• Optional responses in onboarding (e.g. tone preferences, what helps you)

2.2 Session and App Data

We collect pseudonymised session summaries and feature usage information:

• Chat summaries and therapy session outcomes
• Reflection logs and Active Intentions
• Feature usage (e.g. intentions ticked off, SOS activated)

Note: This data is linked only to internal user IDs and is never associated with identifiable personal information connected to the account, unless the user writes identifiable personal information directly into the chat.

2.3 Device & Usage Data

We may collect limited technical data for security and functionality:

• Device type and OS version
• Crash logs and performance data
• IP address (used temporarily for fraud prevention)

2.4 Medical Disclaimer

Breezi is not a clinical mental health tool or a replacement for therapy. It is a preventative, self-help app intended to support general wellbeing. No part of the app should be interpreted as medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic advice. Always consult a qualified mental health professional for any clinical concerns.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide personalised AI therapy insights and weekly summaries
• Offer relevant wellbeing challenges and Active Intentions
• Ensure app safety, prevent misuse, and monitor anonymised usage
• Improve Breezi through analytics and anonymised internal learning

Note: We opt out of OpenAI data training by default. Your data is not used to train external AI models.

4. Data Access, Sharing & Third Parties

4.1 Internal Access

To maintain quality, security, and ethical use of AI, a small number of authorised Breezi team members may access chat logs:

• Lead Developer and Project Manager – to ensure system stability and investigate issues.
• Qualified Mental Health Professionals – to audit how Breezi responds and guide improvements to its therapeutic functionality.

All such access is strictly controlled and logged in immutable audit systems. Data is pseudonymised (linked only to internal user IDs) and never associated with identifiable personal information connected to the account, unless the user has voluntarily written such information within a chat.

4.2 AI Partners

Breezi uses OpenAI’s GPT model to generate responses. We:

• Send no identifiable user data to OpenAI
• Opt out of OpenAI training
• Use strict filtering to avoid unsafe outputs

4.3 Analytics

Breezi uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage. You can opt out via device settings.

4.4 No Data Selling

We never sell or monetise your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Your Privacy Rights (UK & EEA)

5.1 Access, Download & Delete Your Data

If you live in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA), you can:

• Request a copy of your personal data
• Request correction or deletion of data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Object to or restrict processing

5.2 Supervisory Authority

In the UK, you can raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• Session summaries and notes are stored securely in encrypted databases
• You may delete your data anytime via settings or by contacting us
• Inactive accounts (24+ months) may be anonymised or removed
• All deleted data is permanently erased and unrecoverable

7. Security

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption
• Passwords are stored using secure hashing algorithms
• Access to data is logged and restricted to authorised personnel only
• Immutable audit logs record all access to user data
• Data is pseudonymised and never linked to personal identifiers unless the user shares them directly in chat

8. U.S. Users and HIPAA

Breezi is a self-help tool and is not currently subject to HIPAA. We do not store Protected Health Information (PHI), though we apply comparable encryption and access controls to safeguard your privacy.
