Welcome to Breezi, an AI-driven mental health app designed to provide personalised mental wellness support. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Breezi, operated by Talk to Breezi LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using Breezi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Breezi.


1. General Information


1.1 Company Information

Breezi is owned and operated by Talk to Breezi LTD, a UK-registered company.


1.2 Minimum Age Requirement

You must be 16 years or older to use Breezi. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.


1.3 Account Registration

  • You must create an account to use Breezi.
  • Your account is personal and cannot be shared.
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security and confidentiality.

1.4 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Breezi after updates means you accept the revised Terms.


2. Purpose of the App & Medical Disclaimer


2.1 Not a Replacement for Therapy

Breezi is an AI-driven support tool based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles and general psychological wellbeing methods. However, Breezi is not a licensed medical provider, psychologist, or therapist.


2.2 Emergency Disclaimer

If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please contact a qualified mental health professional or call an emergency helpline in your country. Breezi provides emergency contact links in the SOS section but does not provide crisis intervention or real-time assistance.


2.3 AI Accuracy

While Breezi aims to provide supportive insights, AI-generated responses may not always be accurate or complete. Breezi should not be relied upon for medical, legal, or professional advice.


3. Subscription & Payments


3.1 Business Model

Breezi operates a freemium model with an optional annual premium subscription. Users receive a 2-week free trial before payment is required.


3.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through trusted third-party services such as Stripe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. No refunds are provided, but users may cancel auto-renewal before the next billing cycle. Subscription management is handled by the respective app store or platform, subject to their own terms.


4. Privacy & Data Protection


4.1 Encryption & Anonymity

All user interactions, including chat logs and session notes, are encrypted in transit and at rest. Session data is pseudonymised and linked only to internal user IDs. Breezi does not collect or integrate health data such as steps, sleep, or screen time.


4.2 Data Access & AI Partners

A limited number of authorised team members may access pseudonymised chat data for safety audits and feature improvement. This includes:

  • Lead Developer and Project Manager – for technical maintenance and security monitoring.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professionals – to audit Breezi’s conversational quality and therapeutic appropriateness.

All access is logged and restricted to authorised personnel only. Data is never associated with identifiable personal information connected to the account, unless the user voluntarily writes such information within the chat.

Breezi uses OpenAI’s GPT technology to generate responses. No identifiable user data is sent to OpenAI, and Breezi has opted out of OpenAI data training.


4.3 Data Deletion

Users can delete their notes or account at any time via in-app settings or by emailing support@talktobreezi.com. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.


4.4 Data Retention

Inactive accounts (24+ months) may be anonymised or deleted. Full details are available in Breezi’s Data Retention Policy.


5. User Conduct & Restrictions

By using Breezi, you agree not to:

  • Share, copy, or redistribute Breezi’s AI-generated content without permission.
  • Use Breezi for medical diagnosis, crisis response, or emergency situations.
  • Tamper with, hack, or disrupt Breezi’s systems or data.
  • Submit harmful, unlawful, or misleading information within the chat.

6. Intellectual Property


6.1 Ownership

  • You retain ownership of your personal session data and reflections.
  • Breezi retains ownership of all AI-generated content, app features, code, design assets, and branding materials.

7. Liability Disclaimer

Breezi is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties. While we strive for reliability and security, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that Breezi will meet all user expectations.


8. Dispute Resolution


8.1 Consumer Protections in the EU

If you are a resident of the European Union, you may benefit from the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under EU or UK law.


8.2 Arbitration Clause

All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where legal action is required under consumer protection law or permitted by your local legislation.


8.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Users in the EEA may also bring disputes in their local courts, as permitted under applicable EU regulations.


9. Termination & Suspension


9.1 Account Termination

Breezi reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You misuse Breezi’s AI or app features.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity is detected.
